Ever since my holiday vacation ended early this month, it has been nothing less than hectic at work. I planned to update the blog more frequently but I have failed. I am getting close to standing up a new virtualization environment within our datacenter for development along with planning a hardware refresh of half of our vSphere boxes. Oh and upgrading to vSphere 5 in all three of our major datacenter locations.

Once the above has been completed, I will be jumping into building a homegrown self-service portal for our company. It is a hefty challenge that wasn’t placed upon me but rather I decided it would be beneficial for not only the company, but for us that manage the environment. During this adventure with vCenter Orchestrator and other products, I plan to blog extensively about the trials and tribulations I experience.
